Project Manager - Professional Services

Role Overview: The Project Manager (PM) leads the Professional Services Team to deliver high-quality projects to our clients, ensuring successful outcomes and project execution. This role combines project management with team leadership and involves coordination, technical oversight, and process optimization to meet client needs and expectations.

Key responsibilities fall into two main areas:

  1. Project Execution & Quality Control: Oversee project life cycles, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business and technical objectives.

  2. Team Leadership: Manage the Professional Services Team, ensuring adherence to processes, tools, and high-quality service delivery.

This position is critical for the success of our managed services practice, requiring strong communication, organizational, and technical skills to drive project success, customer satisfaction, and non-recurring revenue (NRR).


Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Quality Control:

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all IT projects, ensuring smooth transitions and timely completion.

  • Project Intake: Ensure organized transitions for new projects and proper intake into the team workflow.

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Maintain project schedules, track deliverables, and coordinate with internal teams and clients.

  • Methodology & Monitoring: Ensure adherence to company-approved methodologies and monitor progress against time and budget.

  • Documentation & Status Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and lead regular status meetings with stakeholders.

  • Course Correction: Identify and resolve any issues that affect project scope, schedule, or budget.

  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure projects meet client business goals and achieve target satisfaction scores.

  • Billing & Financials: Manage billing processes and track out-of-scope services.

Project Team Leadership:

  • Pro Forma & Utilization: Achieve utilization targets and manage resource allocation to meet team and business objectives.

  • KPI Management: Track and report on KPIs, implementing adjustments as needed to meet business goals.

  • Capacity Planning & Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation to meet department demands.

  • Team Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews to Professional Services Team members.

  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine team processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Lead regular meetings (daily huddles, 1:1s, and team sync-ups) to maintain alignment and ensure smooth collaboration across teams.

  • Foster team collaboration, ensuring seamless integration with other departments to meet project and organizational goals.

  • Champion company values and enhance the company culture.


Performance & Accountability (KPIs):

  • Billing Utilization: 85% target

  • Effective Utilization: 100% target

  • Client Satisfaction (CSAT): Achieve and exceed client satisfaction goals

Qualifications:

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), with industry certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL).

  • Experience: Proven track record in project management, team leadership, and client-facing roles.

  • Passion for Technology: Enthusiastic about technology with hands-on experience in IT project management.

Reporting Structure:
The Project Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager.
